Mary Newman's Cottage
Mary Newman’s is a grade 2 listed cottage dating from around 1480. It is authentically furnished, and visitors can view Tudor utensils, costumes and games as well as browsing its wonderful Tamarside garden, which is laid out in Elizabethan style. Views of the Tamar crossings also add a further dimension. The cottage also has a small café selling beverages and light snacks.

The cottage is accessed by negotiating a stone step from the road. A wheelchair ramp is available,but prior notice would be appreciated. The downstairs rooms are accessible to those with limited mobility, but the two first floor rooms are accessed by pole staircases and therefore may prove to be unsuitable. The courtyard and garden have a number of steps. Portable ramps are available but prior notice would be appreciated.
